中国大饭店参与“地球一小时”




中国大饭店一直将保护环境、积极应对气候变化视为己任,近日饭店将第四年参与由世界自然基金会发起的“地球一小时”活动,为挽救地球气候贡献自己的一份力量。




今年3月31日晚8:30至9:30之间,中国大饭店将关闭大部分员工区域的照明设备,并将公共区域、餐厅及酒店外观的照明调暗;也将鼓励下榻的客人积极参与,在客房内关掉各种照明设备。




参与“地球一小时”仅仅是中国大饭店保护环境举措中的一小部分。饭店还执行了“绿色计划”,明确各项措施减少浪费,杜绝破坏环境的行为,普及和提高环境保护意识;更换节能灯泡、采用可生物降解的原料、安装节水设备、通过污水处理设备保护水源,尽可能从各方面做到环保。

CHINA WORLD HOTEL, BEIJING SUPPORTS EARTH HOUR




Demonstrating its commitment to protect the environment and mitigate climate change, China World Hotel, Beijing, a leading luxury hotel, announced that it will participate for a fourth consecutive year in Earth Hour, a global Worldwide Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) climate change initiative.




On 31 March, between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m., China World Hotel will turn off its lights in most back-of-the-house areas and dim the lights in public areas, restaurants and hotel exteriors.  Guests will be encouraged to participate by turning off the lights in their guestrooms.




Participating in Earth Hour is only one small part of China World Hotel’s environmental protection efforts.  The hotel has implemented Green Programmes to identify ways to reduce wastage, eradicate practices that damage the environment and generally promote environmental awareness. Examples of these practices include using energy-saving light bulbs and biodegradable cleaning materials, water restrictors, and sewage treatment facilities to prevent water pollution.
